Practice Area

Energy and Infrastructure

Due to Nepal’s extensive hydrography of more than 6,000 rivers and rivulets, hydropower represents the majority of the country’s energy production. Nepal is a great area for business since the energy industry is open to 100% international investment.

Numerous administrative, governmental, and environmental licenses and compliances are required for the development of energy projects and the infrastructure that supports them. We have sufficient legal expertise to support our customers in the creation of infrastructure projects including energy.

We frequently work with our clients to create and negotiate Power Development Agreements and Power Purchase Agreements, as well as provide them with compliance advice for the Department of Electricity Development and other relevant governmental bodies.
